IT ALL HAPPENS AT THE HUB!

Backpacker Hub Bar & Cafe is an exciting, new, locally owned business situated on the corner of Tamar and Boland St, Launceston. We are a lounge bar with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere during the day and an upbeat yet comfortable environment for evening entertainment; along with some of the cheapest drinks in town.

Our lounge offers a great range of fair-trade coffee, including our unique macchiato. A delicious lunch menu is available five days a week, you can eat in or take away, please phone (03) 6334 9288 to place your order.

The backpacker accommodation is situated above the lounge; being the funkiest backpacker in tassie you will have access to a large kitchen, quiet TV room and the comfiest pre-loved lounges in our bar. Weekly entertainment includes Open Mic Tuesday, Mouth-Off Wednesday, Left of Centre Thursday, Random Friday, Sweet Saturday and work shops Sunday/Monday.

We are a local music venue that prides itself on supporting Launcestons up and coming artists and those from around Tasmania, so why not contact us and open Launcestons eyes and ears to your talent. We support all forms of local art. Select artworks by local artists are also for sale, please don't hesitate to ask our friendly staff. We can also hold exhibitions, workshops or even your party.

Backpacker Hub Bar & Cafe is an environmentally conscious business, we use only environmentally friendly cleaning products, recycled paper for all forms of paper products, from toilet paper to hand towels (even our pens are made from recycled products!) and nearly all our furniture, including our lounges and lamps are pre-loved.
